About Us

We originally opened as a bagel shop in Tofino in 2010, with the simple goal of making real food for real people. What started as a small-batch bakery, quickly became a big part of our family’s life – marking the 15 year long journey of relocating to the mainland and creating the ultimate donut.

Now based in Kitsilano, we’ve brought that same heart and Tofino spirit to the city. Since our successful soft opening in December, we have been working very hard to keep up with demand! We have 35+ daily rotating flavours that regularly sell out – a true testament to the quality of our donuts. We refuse to use processed sugars or preservatives and are loyal to BC flavours like the Nanaimo. Thanks to the strong support of our customers, we’re ramping up for our grand opening in August 2025, where we will launch our expanded menu featuring vegan and gelato product drops!

Oohlala Donuts is grateful and humbled to operate on the ancestral, unceded territories of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. This acknowledgement is just one way to show respect for the Indigenous Peoples who have called this land home for time immemorial, and to acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonialism.
